Ben Dunn – Founder and Advisor

Ben Dunn, the visionary founder of One Stop Consult, has been instrumental in shaping the company’s success and reputation in the construction consultancy industry. Starting in 2017, Ben built the brand, developed the website, and structured the entire business from the ground up. His strategic initiatives and business acumen quickly turned One Stop Consult into a profitable enterprise.

Ben conceived the CRM portal platform and invested in its development from the outset, making it the heartbeat of the business and seamlessly connecting our supply chain. His extensive knowledge in technical aspects of building, combined with his practical experience working alongside Stephen as an assistant building control surveyor and technical administrator, has been a key driver of the company’s growth. His background includes NHBC training in the built environment and site inspection, and he continuously keeps up with changes in regulations to navigate clients through building projects efficiently.

Ben’s strategic negotiations with the supply chain have secured significant discounts and reliable delivery schedules on time and cost contracts, allowing One Stop Consult to pass on some of these savings to our clients. His personal approach to clients, treating each project as if it were his own, ensures that cost and time control and value-engineered solutions are always at the forefront. Ben’s deep understanding of building services helps avoid costly mistakes, making One Stop Consult a one-stop shop for developers and architects.

Dominic Haywood – Relationship Director

Dominic Haywood joined One Stop Consult in January 2020 and has been a pivotal part of our team ever since. Initially focusing on portal integration and IT, Dominic has seamlessly integrated our online portal with the main website, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. Over time, he has taken on additional responsibilities, including client interactions and administrative duties. Through one-to-one training with the director, Dominic has acquired valuable technical knowledge in various aspects of construction and services. His dedication and growth within the company have led to his promotion to Relationship Director, where he continues to play a crucial role in client relations and business development.

Stephen Dunn, B.Sc.(Hons) MCIOB, C.Build E, MCABE – Technical Director

Stephen Dunn joined One Stop Consult as Technical Director in April 2024. A chartered professional with a B.Sc.(Hons), Stephen brings a wealth of technical expertise and industry credentials to the team. His membership in esteemed bodies such as MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building) and C.Build E, MCABE (Chartered Building Engineer, Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers) underscores his commitment to maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Stephen has worked on a diverse range of projects including domestic, commercial extensions, warehouses, industrial facilities, educational buildings, high-rise residential structures, conversions, listed buildings, retrofit projects, passive houses, volumetric modular constructions, SIPPs, and modern methods of construction (MMCs). His comprehensive experience ensures that the technical aspects of our projects meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements.
