One Stop Consult have been appointed for an array of services for this particular project, we were initially approached to help assist with the coal mining investigation as the site is within a high risk coal mining area.

Our team and supply chain partners carried out a comprehensive desktop study report and an on-site intrusive investigation to explore for any shallow workings that maybe present. We’re pleased that after conducting these investigations no shallow workings were present however, we did find that the bearing capacity of the ground did have an impact on the design and we were then appointed to design the raft foundation. 

Now the festive season is out of the way we were reproached by the owners to assist them with the wider services we offer, we have now completed the full structural design for the whole building, cost engineered the SAP reports, appointed building control approved inspector and we have also got the fee locked in to carry out the building compliance testing when the building is finished which will consist of an air leakage test and extract ventilation test, our consultancy have been of a huge benefit to this client bringing the team together to tackle each and every pre-commencement condition prior to work starting on site we were also informed that the planning permission was due to expire so we all worked super hard collaborating to ensure that the planning permission did not lapse and we now look forward to sharing with you as the development takes shape.
