The hollowcore flooring system that we use has a self-weight of 300 kg/m2. Part E of the Building Regulations stipulates that it can be achieved using one of two approaches. Robust Details only apply to new purpose-built dwelling houses and flats.
Type E-FC-4 is generally considered the most common approach to build, so we ensure our hollowcore floors comply with this approach.
